Our toboggan has shipped and has safely arrived in Edmonton! Before shipping, the team had the opportunity to take the toboggan to Barrie, Ontario for a test run. Thank you to Snow Valley for accommodating us! With only a few days to go, the team’s final task is to prepare for the technical presentations. Both the concrete team and the superstructure/fabrication team will be presenting our design to a panel of industry professional judges during the competition.
BRANDING

CONCRETE
At the beginning of January, the concrete team poured their final skis for competition and the two extra concrete cylinders that will undergo a strength test at the competition. The team also sanded and waxed the concrete skis them to ensure that they are as smooth as possible for race day.
TECH-EX
This past month, the Technical Exhibition (Tech-Ex) team has but putting together the finishing touches of the Tech-Ex booth. The team created an interactive light component, bought activity prizes, and gathered other aesthetic accessories for the tech-ex booth. The team also helped put together the crate on shipping day to ensure our toboggan safe journey to Edmonton.
THEME
Costumes are ready to go! From fur sashes to bone necklaces, the theme team has finished sewing and putting together all the costumes to help us look like one cohesive prehistoric team.
